PSALM conducts pre-bid conference for the sale of Malaya assets
The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM) conducted a pre-bid conference for the privatization of Malaya Thermal Power Plant and the land underlying the facility and all other assets associated with the plant’s structures.
Held on 17 October 2018 in PSALM’s new office at Vertis North Corporate Center I, the conference clarified to interested bidders the process and provisions for the sale of the Malaya assets. As of the date of the conference, six entities have signified to PSALM their intention to bid. Bid submission deadline is scheduled on 14 December 2018, 12:00 noon at the PSALM Office.
It is hoped that the transition of Malaya to private ownership will be a win-win venture for both the government and the winning bidder. Details of the bidding can be found at www.psalm.gov.ph.
