The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation (PSALM) held the 2022 Investors Forum on 12 October 2022 to showcase power assets scheduled for privatization and disposal to prospective bidders. The forum aimed to boost investor relations and provide an avenue for information exchange in the hope of enhancing various aspects of the privatization and disposal processes of PSALM. An asset of particular interest to investors is the soon-to-be privatized Casecnan Hydroelectric Power Plant.
A booth was also set up for real estate assets that could be potential sites for future power projects.
PSALM is mandated by virtue of Republic Act No. 9136 (Electric Power Industry Reform Act of 2001) to privatize all transferred assets from the National Power Corporation (NPC) with the objective of liquidating all of NPC’s financial obligations.
