PSALM’s Gender and Development Focal Point System (GAD-FPS) distributes anti-COVID health kits

In response to the ongoing pandemic, members of the PSALM GAD-FPS distributed anti-COVID health kits on 05 December 2020 to residents of Barangay Malaya, Pililla, Rizal in coordination with the Barangay officials led by Officer-in-Charge Barangay Chairman Angelito Jimenez.  The health kits consisted of bottles of antiseptic alcohol, face masks and shields. Aside from distributing health kits, the GAD-FPS gave a short talk on protective measures against COVID. These measures include frequent hand washing, wearing a mask and face shield, disinfecting frequently touched objects in the immediate environment, limiting social gatherings and physical distancing. The anti-COVID health kits distribution program is one of the PSALM’s GAD revised plans, activities and programs for CY 2020.

Barangay Malaya serves as a host community to one of PSALM’s power generation assets specifically the 650MW Malaya Thermal Power Plant. The GAD-FPS holds gender and development related events to the host communities of its power generation assets.
