PSALM tackles Gender and Climate Change in GAD-FPS talk
The reality that the earth’s climate is rapidly changing cannot be ignored anymore. Its effects are evident with the increasing global temperature, rising sea level, and extreme weather conditions being experienced across the globe.
Last 18 October 2019, PSALM’s Gender and Development-Focal Point System (GAD-FPS) invited Mr. Erwin Husmalaga of the Climate Change Commission to discuss how gender can be mainstreamed to empower everyone to be adaptive to climate change. A lengthy discussion was made on climate adaptation and mitigation strategies to help the employees on how to reduce risks associated with the effects of climate change.
