Planting the foundations for an ecologically- sustainable world one tree at a time
The unfavorable weather condition did not deter volunteers in participating in PSALM’S annual tree planting activity held last 24 August 2019 at the San Roque Watershed area in San Roque, Pangasinan—the host community to the 345 MW San Roque Multi-Purpose Hydroelectric Power Plant.
With the knowledge that trees have always played a vital role in human lives by providing the air we breathe, filtering the water we drink, and providing us food to eat, PSALM has endeavoured to do its share in adding to the Philippines dwindling forest cover.
This year, a total of 550 fruit-bearing seedlings were planted within the area.
The activity was made possible through the assistance of the NPC Lower Agno Watershed Area Team for the provision of the seedlings and San Roque Power Corporation.
