Doña Catalina Elementary School - Aguilar, Pangasinan
Seeing that computer literacy is a must for students nowadays, Principal Racelyn R. Limos had plans to prepare the teachers of Doña Catalina Elementary School on basic computer education, but the school’s capabilities were scant. A supportive husband, former barangay chairman Angelo Limos relayed his wife’s request in a letter to PSALM. As soon as Administration and General Services Division (AGSD) personnel Elma Uy got news of the request, she put word to consider Doña Catalina as a recipient school for PSALM’s computers.
It was an answered prayer for Principal Limos when, on 17 February, the PSALM contingent came to her school to deliver four (4) computer sets and set into motion her vision for the rural primary school’s 504 enrolled students and 15 teachers. Principal Limos’ gratitude was converted to a well-meaning acceptance program from the entire school, followed by a sumptuous feast of lutong bahay: pakbet, kaldereta, Pangasinan’s trademark bangus fish, tomato-seaweed salad, tupig, and bananas.
