Daet Elementary School – Daet, Camarines Norte

Established during the American colonial period in the early 1900’s and once used as a garrison by the Japanese during World War II, the Daet Elementary School is one of the biggest and oldest schools in Camarines Norte. With an estimated student population of about 5,000, the school has barely enough computers to cater to its students and promote computer literacy. With help from Asset Valuation and Disposal Department (AVDD) 1 Power Management Specialist Rene Francisco, the school received five (5) computer units from PSALM - a welcome addition due to the ever growing population of students enrolling every year.

PSALM employees were welcomed by the school administration, headed by Principal IV Melicia A. Ibasco, through a special program that was also attended by local officials and the public schools district supervisor.

During the said turnover ceremony, Barangay counselor Reinier S. Morena said in the vernacular, “Karamihan ng taga-dito sa Camarines Norte ay dito nag-aaral, kaya napakalaking tulong sa eskwelahan ito’ng ginagawa ng mga korporasyong tulad ng PSALM.”
