PSALM transfers five (5) desktop computers to the LGU of Candaba, Pampanga

In an effort to bridge the digital divide and provide disadvantaged workers with access to technology, the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) Corporation has transferred a total of five (5) desktop computer units to the Local Government Unit of Barangay Pulong Palazan, Candaba, Pampanga on 16 January 2024.

Barangay Pulong Palazan belongs to the 4th Class Municipality of Candaba, Pampanga, with a minimal share in the Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) to support barangay initiatives. It has an established daycare center and library that are currently unsupported by operational computers.

“We are very grateful to PSALM for this generous donation,” said the newly elected Barangay Chairman, Mr. Nelson A. Mandilag. “Malaking tulong po ito para mas mapabilis ang paglilingkod namin sa aming barangay.”

The recent computer transfer is part of PSALM's ongoing commitment to promote social sustainability through its community engagement programs. Through this, PSALM anticipates a significant improvement in the daily operations of the daycare center and library in Barangay Pulong Palazan.

A turnover ceremony and signing of the acceptance documents were held during the activity. PSALM has been fulfilling its social responsibilities through conducting computer transfers and donations as its regular CSR project since 2010.
