The contracts to supply and deliver the industrial diesel oil (IDO) requirements of Power Barge (PB) 103, the Western Mindanao Power Corporation (WMPC), and the Southern Philippines Power Corporation (SPPC) have been awarded to Petron Corporation, and the IDO requisites of PB 104 to Phoenix Petroleum Philippines, Inc., the Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) Corporation announced recently.
In separate notices, PSALM awarded to Petron the contract involving 390 kiloliters (kL) of IDO for PB 103, 70 kL for WMPC, and 90 kL for SPPC at a price amounting to PhP15 million (PhP15,219,321.00), PhP3 million (PhP2,975,266.00), and PhP3.5 million (PhP3,550,950.00), respectively. On the other hand, the 1,380-kL IDO requisite of PB 104 was awarded to Phoenix Petroleum for PhP54 million (PhP54,130,682.00).
The opening of bids for the IDO procurements was held on 07 March 2013.
PB 103 is moored in Botongon, Estancia, Iloilo, while PB 104 is stationed at the Holcim Compound in Ilang, Davao City. WMPC, on the other hand, is situated in Sangali, Zamboanga City. SPPC, also based in Mindanao, is located in Alabel, Sarangani Province.
