IPPA bidding for Naga power plant complex launched

The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) Corporation officially commenced the selection process for the independent power producer administrator (IPPA) of its contracted capacity in the Naga power plant complex in the Cebu Province through the publication of an Invitation to Bid (ITB) today, 07June 2010.

The ITB, which will be published until Wednesday, 09 June 2010, announced to interested parties that participation in the Naga IPPA bidding requires the submission of a Letter of Interest not later than 14 June 2010.

To acquire the Bidding Package, participants need to execute a confidentiality agreement and undertaking with PSALM, and pay a non-refundable participation fee of USD5,000.00 on or before 21 June 2010.

PSALM will hold the Pre-bid Conference for the Naga complex IPPA selection on 25 June 2010 at 2 p.m. to discuss in detail the Bidding Procedures.

PSALM, the government's power privatization firm, will conduct the bid evaluation for the Naga IPPA selection on 18 August 2010.

Upon appointment, the Naga complex IPPA will manage the Naga Contracted Capacity, which is an aggregate of the contracted capacities in the 39-megawatt (MW) Cebu Diesel Power Plant 1, and the Cebu 1 and Cebu 2 coal power plant complexes, with a total installed capacity of 110 MW.
