PSALM Corporation recognized at the Philippine Good Regulatory Principles Recognition and Awards Program

The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management (PSALM) was recognized for its commitment to regulatory excellence at the Philippine Good Regulatory Principles Recognition and Awards Program (PGRP-RAP), held at Crowne Plaza Manila Galleria on 29 May 2025.

Organized by the Anti-Red Tape Authority (ARTA), in partnership with the United Kingdom Government, the PGRP-RAP acknowledges government agencies that have adopted the Philippine Good Regulatory Principles (PGRP) in line with Republic Act No. 11032 or the Ease of Doing Business and Efficient Government Service Delivery Act of 2018.

Out of seventy (70) targeted agencies, only fifteen (15) participated in the program—underscoring the significance of PSALM’s inclusion among the recognized institutions. Among the awardees, PSALM stood out as the only energy sector agency to be recognized during the event. This recognition highlights PSALM’s valuable involvement and ongoing efforts to improve regulatory practices and contribute to a more transparent, responsive, and efficient public service.

The recognition program was part of the broader 2025 Ease of Doing Business (EODB) Month celebration, which also featured discussions on the practical application of Good Regulatory Practices (GRPs) and Regulatory Impact Assessment (RIA). Additionally, ARTA launched its new Standard Cost Model (SCM) Calculator—a digital tool designed to estimate the administrative burden of government regulations using internationally aligned methodologies.

PSALM’s participation in the PGRP-RAP reinforces its commitment to advancing regulatory governance and supporting inter-agency collaboration for improved public sector performance.
