The Power Sector Assets and Liabilities Management Corporation joins the nation in the observance of the 2024 18-day Campaign to End Violence Against Women and Children (Campaign to End VAWC).
The PSALM Corporation kicked off its 18-Day Campaign to End VAWC last 25 November 2024 at the PSALM Conference Halls with PBGen. Portia B. Manalad, Chief of the Women and Children Protection Center of the Philippine National Police (WCPC-PNP) as the Guest Speaker. PBGen Manalad highlights the services of the WCPC-PNP in addressing violence against women and children cases.
The celebration also includes the opening of the Orange Exhibit which highlights the 20 years of achievements in addressing VAW by marking two decades of the Anti-VAWC Act (RA 9262) and the ceremonial signing of the commitment wall to end all forms of gender-based violence.
The 2024 sub-theme of the 18-day Campaign to End VAW “VAW Bigyang-Wakas, Ngayon na ang Oras!” centers around the recurring six-year (2022-2027) theme, “UNiTEd for a VAW-free Philippines,” which is aligned with the “UNiTE by 2030 to End VAW” initiative of the UN.
